About
Our mission: water you can trust
BlueCurrent exists to make the global water crisis understandable, traceable, and actionable. We cover rivers, lakes, aquifers, coastlines, and the deep ocean — and the people working to keep them clean.
We believe water is not abstract. It runs through every community, every food system, every economy. We also believe the crisis is solvable, and that good journalism, transparent data, and citizen science are how we get there.
Our reporting is free to read and free to share. We accept no advertising from industries we cover. We rely on readers, grants, and partnerships with research institutions.
